SUMMER READING

If you are taking our AICE course next year, you need to go to teamrogo.com  for the summer reading calendar. Our two books are A Passage to India (for both grades); our soon-to-be juniors are also reading The Art of Racing in the Rain, while the soon-to-be seniors will also read Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf.   Reading has already begun, so get on it!  LOVE YOU ALL!

  1. I deleted the above comments because you NEED to buy the books, especially A Passage to India. That will be on the Cambridge exam, and we will be revisiting that novel at the end of next year, as well as the beginning of your senior year. That's three times we will delve into the same novel. YOU NEED A COPY! As far as The Art of Racing in the Rain goes, you will WANT A COPY. It is the kind of book you will want to share with family and friends; a couple students who read it last summer are even rereading it...ALREADY...because they want to! From here on out, we are not going to allow electronic copies of any novel. YOU NEED TO BUY THEM OR PRINT THEM...and printer ink is FAR MORE expensive than a book. MAKE IT HAPPEN! You are juniors now, and we expect you to step it up!

    1. Buy a paper copy of A Passage to India...especially if you plan to be in the AICE English Lit class your twelfth grade year.

  4. Kinda off topic but, the sophmore end-of-the-year video doesn't play properly, it only shows the first 4 seconds. I kinda want to see it.

  5. Hi C-Rod, I'm a student from Mrs. Dehgahni's class last year and I was wondering if her students that our going to be soon-to-be-juniors have to do it as well. We are unsure if we have to since we don't know who is going to be our teacher next year or if it's mandatory for all soon-to-be-juniors.

    1. All prospective AICE English Language juniors must read these 2 novels. The summer reading is not teacher specific; it is subject specific since A Passage to India will be on one of your exams. It's non-negotiable. Please spread the word to your friends and classmates.

  6. Question... I know we have to read the school's summer books aside from A passage to India and TAORITR, right? Well, if we do, how do we find out which books to read? Thanks :)
